What's the site all about ?
Well, a while ago, I did a charity walk for the local Air Ambulance and the South West Childrens' Hospice and managed to raise a fair chunk of cash for them. My wife thought it would be a good idea (my beloved has many good ideas that involve me keeping busy) if I were to carry on the good work, and suggested that I took a stall at the local village Summer Fair to make them some more money. Ever a sucker for a good cause, I asked her for suggestions as to what to sell - "Teapots" was the answer.
So, I launched into a mammoth buy of tea and coffee pots (somewhere in the region of 60-70), and duly set up...... Definitely misjudged my customer base and, whilst the cheap and cheerful ones went, the classy ones didn't.
So (again), here's a selection of pots from the seriously old up to the 1970's and 80's for your perusal (and, who knows, purchase). All the teapots are used; I've been honest about condition, but will happily take back anything that you're not satisfied with as long as it's in the same condition as when it left me, and at your postal expense. Breakages get a full refund as long as you provide photographic evidence. If you're interested, send me an email via the "Contact Me" page. Click on any of the galleries at the foot of each page for full sized images of the pots.
Payment by PayPal or cheque. All pots will be double boxed and bubble wrapped for protection, and will be sent by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For (they're a bit pricier, but I've had some disasters with lesser couriers and also some well known ones - UPS managed to make powder of a very rare Masons Ironstone kettle teapot, and then ducked behind their very small print to limit liability). Postage costs are to the UK only: any overseas interest, please contact me for shipping costs.
Profits from any sales will go to the above charities.....
Anyway, take a look; there are some truly lovely pieces.
